Help & Support

Connecting Webflow

Click Connect Webflow and choose either a whole Workspace or individual sites. Connecting a Workspace is easiest: sites you add to it later are picked up automatically each night. To add more sites later, use Add sites on the dashboard.

SiteVault takes a first backup of every new site straight away. Signing in later works the same way: connect Webflow again and you land on your dashboard.

Backups

Every site is backed up nightly, again after each publish, and whenever you click Back up now. CMS items are also saved within a minute or so of being edited, created or deleted, so each change gets its own version.

A backup includes every CMS collection and item in every locale, page settings (titles, slugs, SEO and Open Graph), assets, and files used in CMS fields. Unchanged content is stored once, so frequent backups don’t bloat storage.

What isn't backed up

Webflow’s API doesn’t give apps access to page layouts, styles, interactions, text written directly on static pages, custom code, ecommerce data or membership users, so SiteVault can’t back those up. Keep using Webflow’s own backups (Site settings, Backups) for the Designer side of a site. SiteVault covers what those don’t: copies outside Webflow, a history of every CMS change, and restoring one item or collection without rolling back the whole site.

Restoring content

Every restore starts as a preview listing each change. Nothing is written to Webflow until you click Apply restore. Restored items are staged, ready for your next publish, unless you choose to publish them straight away.

Monitoring and alerts

SiteVault checks each published site every 5 minutes for downtime and SSL problems, crawls it after each publish and daily for broken pages and links and SEO issues, and watches CMS usage against your plan limits and form activity. The dashboard’s Health column summarises it, and the Monitoring page for each site has the details.

New warnings and critical problems are emailed to the site’s alert recipients (by default, the person who connected Webflow). Change the recipients on the site’s Monitoring page. Alerts close by themselves once the problem is fixed.

Client reports

Reports cover uptime, backups, content changes, publishes, issues found and fixed, form activity and CMS usage for a month. They carry your agency’s branding only: add your name, logo, colour and contact email in Settings.

On each site’s Client reports page, set the client’s name and email addresses, then generate a report, send it to yourself to check, or send it to the client. Turn on monthly reports to have them sent automatically on the 1st. Nothing goes to a client until you do one of these.

Trial and billing

You get 14 days free with no card. After that SiteVault costs $9 per protected site per month, or $90 per site per year. Subscribe, change plan, update your card, download invoices or cancel from the Billing page.

To stop paying for a site, click Turn off next to it on the dashboard. Its existing backups are kept and can still be restored. Your subscription is adjusted straight away, prorated.

Removing SiteVault and deleting data

To disconnect, remove SiteVault in Webflow under Workspace settings, Apps & Integrations (or the site’s settings, if you connected single sites). SiteVault deletes its access token as soon as it notices, stops backing up and billing, and sets your subscription to end with the period you’ve paid for.

Your backups are kept for 30 days in case you come back. We email you 7 days before they are permanently deleted. The same applies if your trial or subscription ends. To delete everything immediately, go to Settings, then Delete account. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
